Kansas City metropolitan area
The Kansas City metropolitan area surrounds the city of Kansas City, Missouri. It includes 15 counties in both Missouri and Kansas.[1] With a population of 2.34 million people, it is the second largest metropolitan area in Missouri behind Greater St. Louis.[1] However, the Kansas city metropolitan area is currently showing a 3.1 percent growth rate.[2] The St. Louis metropolitan area is only growing at a rate of .7 percent.[2]
