The International Olympic Committee's official abbreviation for Malta was MAT.[1] It is now MLT.[2]

History

Teams from Malta have been in 15 Summer Olympic Games and 1 Winter Olympic Games.

As of 2014 no Maltese athlete has won an Olympic medal.

The Maltese Olympic Committee was formed in 1928[3] and recognized by the IOC in 1936.
