The International Olympic Committee's official abbreviation for Costa Rica was COS.[1] It is now CRC.[2]

History

Teams from Costa Rica have been in every Summer Olympic Games since 1964. Costa Rica has been in several Winter Olympic Games since 1980.

Costa Rican athletes have won a total of four medals, all by Silvia Poll and Claudia Poll in swimming.

The National Olympic Committee for Costa Rica was formed in 1953 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1954.
