History

Teams from Jordan have been in every Summer Olympic Games since. It has never been in the Winter Olympic Games.

As of 2011, no Jordanian athlete has ever won an Olympic medal. In the 1988 Seoul Games, Samer Kamal and Ihsan Abu Sheikha won bronze medals in Taekwondo. As this was Taekwondo's first time in the Olympics it was named a demonstration sport, not an official Olympic event. Ammar Fahed managed to get the third Jordanian bronze medal in Barcelona Olympic games 1992.

The National Olympic Committee for Jordan was formed in 1957 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1963.
