Wadō (era)

Wadō (和銅) was a Japanese era name (年号,, nengō,, lit. "year name") after Keiun and before Reiki. This period started in January 708 and ended in September 715.[1] The reigning empress was Gemmei-tennō (元明天皇).[2]
