ܓܘܪܢܐ
Classical Syriac
Etymology
Mayhaps to the large from Akkadian 𒄖𒊒𒌦𒉡 (/gurunnu, garunnu/, “a small ritual jug, urn, or basin; possibly a mortar”); but there might have been genuine meanings which got lost because of the urban environment of Aramaic speakers. See Arabic جُرْن (jurn) for more.
