Takumi Minamino

Takumi Minamino (南野 拓実, Minamino Takumi, born January 16, 1995) is a Japanese football player. He plays for the Japan national team.

Biography

Minamino was born in Izumisano. He started his club career at J1 League club Cerezo Osaka in 2012 and in his first season he was named "J.League Rookie of the Year". In 2014, he moved to Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg. He spent four successful seasons at Salzburg before moving to Liverpool on 1 January 2020.[4] On February 1, 2021 Minamino joined Southampton on loan for the rest of the 2020-21 Premier League season.[5] In 2022 he moved to AS Monaco in France.

Minamino has made over 20 appearances for the Japan national team. He was part of the squad that reached final of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup and played in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
