Yoshinori Muto

Yoshinori Muto (武藤 嘉紀, Muto Yoshinori, born July 15, 1992) is a Japanese football player. He played for the Japan national team.

Biography

Muto was born in Setagaya, Tokyo on July 15, 1992. When he played for Keio University, he joined J1 League club FC Tokyo in 2013. He played many matches from 2014. In summer 2015, he moved to German Bundesliga club Mainz. He played for the club in 3 seasons. In 2018, he moved to English Premier League club Newcastle United. In 2020, he moved to Spanish La Liga club Eibar.

On Septetmber 5, 2014, Muto debuted for the Japan national team against Uruguay. In 2015, he played at 2015 Asian Cup. In 2018, he was selected the Japan for 2018 World Cup. In 2019, he participated 2019 Asian Cup. He played 4 matches and scored 1 goal, and Japan won the 2nd place. He played 29 games and scored 3 goals for Japan until 2019.
