Khalil Shahr (Persian: خلیل‌شهر, also Romanized as Khalīl Shahr; formerly, Khalil Mahalleh (Persian: خلیل‌محله), also Romanized as Khalīl Maḩalleh and Khallī Mahalleh)[3] is a city in the Central District of Behshahr County, Mazandaran province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, its population was 10,096 in 2,485 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 10,141 people in 2,869 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 11,032 people in 3,298 households.[2]
