لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله

لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللّٰهِ • (lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata ʔillā bi-llāhi)

1. there is no might and no power except by God (said in response to a personal loss).

• بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ (bi-smi llāhi, “in the name of God”)
  • بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ (bismi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīmi)
• إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللّٰهُ (ʔin šāʔa llāhu, “if God wills”)
• مَا شَاءَ ٱللّٰهُ (mā šāʔa llāhu, “what God wills”)
• بِإذْنِ ٱللّٰهِ (biʔiḏni llāhi, “by the permission of God”)
• سُبْحَانَ ٱللّٰهِ (subḥāna llāhi, “glory be to God”)
• اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ (al-ḥamdu lillāhi, “all praise is for God”)
• اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ (allāhu ʔakbaru, “God is greater”)
• أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ (ʔastaḡfiru llāha, “I seek forgiveness from God”)
• اَللّٰهُمَّ (allāhumma, “God; O God”)
