Yasunari Kawabata

Yasunari Kawabata[1] (14 June 1899–16 April 1972) was a Japanese writer. He was the winner of the 1968 Nobel Prize in Literature.[2] He was the first Japanese author to receive the award.

In this Japanese name, the family name is Kawabata.
