Sanuki Province
Sanuki Province (讃岐国, Sanuki-no kuni) was an old province of Japan in the area of Kagawa Prefecture on the island of Shikoku.[1] It was sometimes called Sanshū (讃州).

History
In the Meiji period, the provinces of Japan were converted into prefectures. The maps of Japan and Sanuki Province were reformed in the 1870s.[2]
Geography
Sanuki faced the Seto Inland Sea.
Shrines and Temples
Tamura jinja was the chief Shinto shrine (ichinomiya) of Sanuki. [3]
