Inherited from Ottoman Turkish حقنده (hakkında). By surface analysis, the third-person possession locative case of hak (“justice, right”) from Arabic حَقّ (ḥaqq). Cognate with Azerbaijani haqqında, Bashkir хаҡында, Uzbek haqida.
