The existence and function is uncertain according to Clauson. Possibly "emphatic".

Suffix

*-d

  1. Deverbal suffix; creates a new verb from a verb.
    ‎*ko- (“to put”) + ‎*-d → ‎*kod- (“same meaning”)
    ‎*to- (“to be full”) + ‎*-d → ‎*tod- (“same meaning”)
    ‎*kǖ- (“to wait”) + ‎*-d → ‎*kǖd- (“same meaning”)
    ‎*ï̄- (“to send”) + ‎*-d → ‎*ï̄d- (“same meaning”)
    ‎*sī- (“to urinate”) + ‎*-d → ‎*sīd- (“same meaning”)

Usage notes
  • The new verb has the same meaning as original root.
