From ทรง (song, “to bear; to have; to maintain; etc”) +‎ พระ (prá, “used to prefix a noun concerning a royal person”, literally “divine; sacred; etc”) +‎ กรุณา (gà-rú-naa, “grace; kindness”); literally "to have divine grace", "to have divine kindness", etc.

ทรงพระกรุณา • (song-prá-gà-rú-naa)

1. (auxiliary) an auxiliary verb conventionally used to add elegance to a verb when the subject is a monarch.

   ทรงพระกรุณาให้นายทหารรับราชการดังนี้

   song-prá-gà-rú-naa hâi naai-tá-hǎan ráp râat-chá-gaan dang-níi

   (literally) [His Majesty] has divine kindness to allow the following military officers to serve the royal court:

     (literally) Now, therefore, [His Majesty], bearing divine kindness and having mercy on [all] heads, allows a divine royal enactment to be made up, by and with the advice and consent of the National Legislative Assembly, as follows:

     Be it, commanded by the King’s most Excellency Majesty that the 12th National Economic and Social Development Plan (2017–2021) be enforced from 1 October 2016 to 30 September 2021.
     (literally) Now, therefore, [His Majesty], bearing divine kindness and having mercy on [all] heads, allows the National Economic and Social Development Plan: 12th Version (2560–2564 BE), to be enforced from the date of 1 October 2559 until the date of 30 September 2564

     (literally) Now, therefore, citing the power according to the provision of section 22 of the State Charter of the Royal Realm of the Thais…, [His Majesty], bearing divine kindness and having mercy on [all] heads, allows a divine royal decree to be made up as follows:

• Sometimes used in combination with โปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อม (bpròot-glâao-bpròot-grà-mɔ̀m) as ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อม(song-prá-gà-rú-naa bpròot-glâao-bpròot-grà-mɔ̀m).
