Etymology
From виҫҫӗ (viśśĕ, “three”) + -мӗш (-mĕš, “ordinal suffix”), compare Bulgar [script needed] (wecim, “third”).[1]
Cognate with Khalaj ü̂çminci, Turkish üçüncü, Uzbek uchinchi, Bashkir өсөнсө (ösönsö) and Yakut үһүс (ühüs).
