Cognate with Old Uyghur [script needed] (adïr-, “to separate”); Kyrgyz айыруу (ayıruu), Uzbek ayirmoq, Turkish ayırmak, Khakas азырарға (azırarğa), Yakut атыр (atır), Chuvash уйăр (ujăr), etc.
