Vilmos Zsigmond
Vilmos Zsigmond, A.S.C. (June 16, 1930 – January 1, 2016)[1] was a Hungarian-American cinematographer. He was known for his work in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.[2] He won an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award during his career.

Zsigmond was born in Szeged, Hungary.[3][4] He became an American citizen in 1962. Zsigmond died at his home in Big Sur, California at the age of 85.
