Daisuke Suzuki

Daisuke Suzuki (鈴木 大輔, Suzuki Daisuke, born January 29, 1990) is a Japanese football player. He played for the Japan national team.

Biography

Suzuki was born in Tokyo on January 29, 1990.[1] After graduating from Seiryo High School, he joined J1 League club Albirex Niigata in 2008. He played many matches as center back from 2011. In 2013, he moved to Kashiwa Reysol. He played for the club in 3 seasons and Kashiwa won the champions in the 2013 J.League Cup. In January 2016, he moved to Spanish Segunda División club Gimnàstic Tarragona. In summer 2018, he returned to Kashiwa. However Kashiwa was relegated to J2 League end of the 2018 season. In 2019, he moved to Urawa Reds. In 2021, he moved to J2 club JEF United Chiba.

In 2007, Suzuki was selected the Japan U-20 national team for 2007 U-20 World Cup and played 2 matches. In July 2012, he was selected the Japan U-23 national team for 2012 Summer Olympics. He played all 6 matches as center back with Maya Yoshida and Japan won the 4th place. In July 2013, he was selected the Japan national team for 2013 East Asian Cup. At this tournament, he debuted against Australia on July 25. He played 2 games for Japan until 2014.
