The 0-6 age group numbered 128 (58 male and 70 female), or 14.8% of the total population. 310 residents were members of Scheduled Castes, or 35.9% of the total.^{[2]: 112–3}

Infrastructure

As of 2011, Dostpur had 2 primary schools; it did not have any healthcare facilities. Drinking water was provided by hand pump and tube well; there was at least one public toilet.
