Etymology

Usually seen as a derivative of reseña + -ar;[1] alternatively, it may correspond to Latin resignāre,[2][3][4] with the noun instead being the derivative. Compare Portuguese resenhar (to review). Cf. also resignar (to resign), which may be a borrowed doublet.

Verb

reseñar (first-person singular present reseño, first-person singular preterite reseñé, past participle reseñado)
