Inherited from Ottoman Turkish اولدم اولهسی (oldum olası, “ever since I came into existence, from my birth until now”),[1] equivalent to ol- (“to be, to become”) + -du (past tense suffix) + -m (1st person singular suffix) + ol- + -ası (adverbial participle suffix, mutated).
