Albanian
Etymology
Probably from lengthened and diathematic e-grade form Proto-Albanian *mel-i-t-yo, from Proto-Indo-European *mel- (“to hesitate; bad, wrong, false”). Compare Greek μόλις (mólis, “with difficulty”), Old Irish mall (“be late”). Alternatively from Proto-Slavic *mъdьliti.[1]
