Etymology
Singularized plural of *lik from Proto-Albanian *lika, from Proto-Indo-European *leykʷ- (“to leave, to remain”). Cognate to Sanskrit रिणक्ति (riṇákti, “to leave”), Latin linquō, and Old High German lihhan.[1]
