Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *kālima, a suffixal derivative of Proto-Indo-European *kal- (“healthy; handsome”). Compare Sanskrit कल्य (kalyá, “healthy”), Ancient Greek καλός (kalós, “beautiful”).[1]
