dGPU (plural dGPUs)

1. (computer hardware) Initialism of discrete graphics processing unit (a graphics processing unit which has access to dedicated graphics memory)
2. (computer hardware) Initialism of dedicated graphics processing unit (a graphics processing unit which has access to dedicated graphics memory)
3. (computer hardware, colloquial) video card, graphics card

Since discrete GPUs are often (though not always) embedded on their own circuit boards and come in the form of an expansion card, dGPU is sometimes used synonymously with video card and graphics card in colloquial and non-professional contexts.
