- (obsolete, medicine) An inflatable bag used to dilate the vagina or cervical canal.

- The dilatation should be continued by suitably prepared tents, or if there be sufficient space, with a large colpeurynter, or if the canal be very narrow, with a small Tarnier's balloon.
