Inherited from Middle French bramer, from Old Occitan bramar, from Gothic đąđđ°đŧđŧđđŊ (brammÅn), đąđđ°đŧđžđ°đŊ (bramjan), from Proto-Germanic *bramjanÄ (âto bellow, roarâ), from Proto-Indo-European *bĘ°rem-.
