Etymology
From aft, from Proto-Albanian *aweita, from Proto-Indo-European *h₂weh₁- (compare Ancient Greek ἀυτμή (autmḗ, “breath”), Welsh awel (“breeze”)),[1] meaning to have will, to have power or breath to do something. Alternatively from Latin aptus.[2][3][4]
