Etymology
Compared to Proto-Turkic *tiāĺ (“stone”) (Turkish taş, Chuvash чул (čul, “stone”)), Proto-Mongolic *cïlaxun (Mongolian чулуу (čuluu), Daur coloo), Korean 돌 (dol, “stone”) under the discredited Altaic hypothesis.[1]
