Proto-Tocharian
Etymology
A derivative of *ān- (“to breathe”), from Proto-Indo-European *h₂enh₁- (“to breathe”), probably with an abstract noun suffix *-elme. Also possibly from *h₂en-h₂enh₁mo- (“one whose breath is upon them”), a form of the above root.
