From Proto-Indo-European *tregʰ- (to run, walk), apparently a variant of *dʰregʰ- (to run). Cognate with Gothic 𐌸𐍂𐌰𐌲𐌾𐌰𐌽 (þragjan, to run) and Serbo-Croatian trȃg (trace).[1]
