RH

RH
- (international standards) Indeterminately reserved ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code for Haiti.
- Synonym: HT (for general use)
- (international standards, obsolete) Former ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code for Southern Rhodesia from 1974 to 1980.
Usage notes
- This is an indeterminately reserved code, included as part of ISO 3166-1 due to its use in designating road vehicles under the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic, and is not endorsed for general use by the ISO. The general-purpose code for Haiti is HT.
- Despite the existence of the de facto state of Rhodesia upon the publication of ISO 3166 in 1974, its lack of recognition by the United Nations meant that the code instead referred to the de jure British colony of Southern Rhodesia. The code was, however, deprecated in favour of ZW upon the country's establishment as Zimbabwe, which did gain international recognition.
