- It is critical to not allow EAS to get slower than 185 kts. If theta is greater than about 10°, and EAS is decreasing through about 200, then the CDR should take Pitch CSS and push to the horizon, θ = 0°. This will hold 185 to 195 KEAS, which is the bailout recommended airspeed.
