equivalent airspeed (usually uncountable, plural equivalent airspeeds)
- (aviation) Dynamic pressure expressed as airspeed; the airspeed at sea level in the International Standard Atmosphere at which an airplane would experience the same dynamic pressure as it does in its current flight conditions; calibrated airspeed corrected for errors introduced by the compressibility of air at nonzero Mach numbers.
