Etymology
First attested as hunsetti in 722. Etymology unclear. Potentially a compound of either Old Dutch Huni (“a personal name”), *Huna (“Hun”) or Proto-Germanic *hun- (“brown, dark, honey-yellow”) and *sati- (“home, homestead”) with locative suffix *-ja-. The element Driel is a later addition. Compare Driel, Kerkdriel and Velddriel.
