1. A particle usually affixed to the ablative singular of these adjectives (meus, tuus, suus, noster, vester) most frequently to that of suus in order to express more emphatically that a thing belongs to a person as contrasted with what is not his own
   • ego meaning "I" → mepte
   • suus → suapte
