Etymology
Inherited from Maharastri Prakrit कडुअ (kaḍua), from Sanskrit 𑘎𑘘𑘳𑘎 (káṭuka). Cognate with Old Gujarati कडूउं (kaḍūuṃ), Old Hindi करवा (karavā), Old Punjabi ਕਉੜਾ (kauṛā).
