표고
Korean
Etymology
Considered a native Korean word, although it can be written with the Idu-style hanja 蔈菰 if necessary. 蔈 is likely non-etymological (취음 (chwieum, “taking the sound”)), and 菰 (same as 菇 (“mushroom”)) is Sino-Korean.
Pronunciation
- (SK Standard/Seoul) IPA(key): [pʰjoɡo̞]
- Phonetic hangul: [표고]
