From Middle Korean *솔〯다〮 (Yale: *swǒl-tá, “to be narrow”), not directly attested in Middle Korean but found in 솔〯옷〮 (Yale: swǒlGwós, “awl”) (Lee and Ramsey 2011, p. 148) and the placename 손〯돌〮 (Yale: swǒntwól, “narrow channel”) (Cho 2006, p. 138).
