Etymology
The character 華 can be decomposed into six 十 (“ten”) and a 一 (“one”). The character 甲 is from 甲子 (kinoene, kōshi, kasshi, “Wood Rat”), the first element of the sexagenary cycle. Compare Chinese 花甲 (huājiǎ).
