Etymology
Compound of 用務 (yōmu, “business”, a very generic term referring to “what one does to get things done”) + 員 (-in, “person belonging to a team or a particular role or responsibility”).[1][2][3]
Cited to the 1957 novel and 1959 film 人間の壁 (Ningen no Kabe, “The Human Wall”) written by 石川達三 (Tatsuzō Ishikawa).
