  Meiji jūroku-nen ni sensei wa shubi yoku Kagoshima Chūgaku ni nyūgaku shita ga, sono yokutoshi ni wa genpu ga igan menkan ni natta.
  In 1883, he successfully entered Kagoshima Junior High School, but the following year, his father was dismissed from his post at his request.
