一以貫之

From the Analects, Book 4 (《論語·里仁》):

子曰：「參乎！吾道一以貫之。」 [Classical Chinese, trad.]

Zǐyuē: “Cān hū! Wú dào yī yǐ guàn zhī.” [Pinyin]

The Master said, "Shen, my doctrine is that of an all-pervading unity."

一以貫之

1. to go through all things with the same principle

     其變化之法，必以同一行之字母。既通此例，一以貫之，毫無窒礙矣。 [Classical Chinese, trad.]

     Qí biànhuà zhī fǎ, bì yǐ tóng yī xíng zhī zìmǔ. Jì tōng cǐ lì, yīyǐguànzhī, háowú zhì'ài yǐ. [Pinyin]

     The method of their conjugation is to use kana in the same row. Having understood this rule, [you can conjugate all verbs] with the same principle with no obstructions whatsoever.
