Etymology 2
From a blend of 山無し (yama nashi) + 落ち無し (ochi nashi) + 意味無し (imi nashi): "no climax, no point, no meaning". The original meaning was a mockery of other people criticising early yaoi works for being too oriented on sex scenes instead of storylines.
