ᄌᆞ물다
Jeju
Etymology 1
Cognate with Middle Korean 져믈〮다〮 (cyèmúltá). The first syllable vowel alternation between this word and 져믈〮다〮 (cyèmúltá) seemingly points to a pre-15c. Middle Korean form *ᄌᆢᄆᆞᆯ〮다〮 (*cyòmóltá), prior to the merger of /yo/ into /ye/. The alternate forms 저물다 (jeomulda) and 정글다 (jeonggeulda), then, may be loans from Early Modern Korean.
