     มาตรา ๓ ในพระราชบัญญัตินี้ "สิทธิบัตร" หมายความว่า หนังสือสำคัญที่ออกให้เพื่อคุ้มครองการประดิษฐ์หรือการออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ตามที่กำหนดในหมวด ๒ และหมวด ๓ แห่งพระราชบัญญัตินี้

     Section 3 In this Act, "patent" means a significant document issued for protecting an invention or product design as prescribed in Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 of this Act;

     การโอนสิทธิขอรับสิทธิบัตรต้องทำเป็นหนังสือลงลายมือชื่อผู้โอนและผู้รับโอน

     The transfer of the right to apply for a patent must be made in writing containing the signatures of the transferor and the transferee.

     มาตรา ๑๕ ถ้ามีบุคคลหลายคนทำการประดิษฐ์ร่วมกัน บุคคลเหล่านั้นมีสิทธิขอรับสิทธิบัตรร่วมกัน

     Section 15 If several persons create an invention together, those persons have the right to jointly apply for a patent.
