ಜನ್ನ

Old Kannada

Etymology

Borrowed from Prakrit 𑀚𑀡𑁆𑀡 (jaṇṇa); but the de-retroflexion of the suggests influence from Pali yañña; ultimately from Sanskrit यज्ञ (yajña).
