Etymology
From খৰ (khor, “dry weather; quick”) + -আং (-aṅ, “being of the nature”). খৰ (khor) is from Sanskrit খৰ (khara, “hard; sharp; pungent”), from late Proto-Indo-European/substrate root *kar (“stone, hard”). Cognate with Bengali খরা (khora).
