Cognate with Sylheti ꠇꠣꠑꠟ (xaṭól), Rohingya haththól, Assamese কঁঠাল (kõthal), Odia କଠଲ (kôṭhôlô), Magahi 𑂍𑂗𑂯𑂩 (kaṭ-har), Bhojpuri कटहर (kaṭᵊhar) and Hindi कटहल (kaṭhal).
